New NIDCR RFAs on Salivary Components for Oral Health
The NIDCR released two new RFAs that might be of interest to you.
These funding opportunities encourage interdisciplinary research that harnesses the functional components of saliva towards therapeutics. Applications in response to this funding opportunity will aim to develop salivary components to restore health and resilience of the oral cavity. It is expected that outcomes from this research will facilitate development of highly effective surrogate saliva for clinical applications. This initiative is not focused on development of salivary biomarkers or diagnostics.
